Depression is the most commonly treated mental health issue after anxiety

1 in 6 Americans will experience clinical depression at some point in his or her life.

 

Depression

 Depression can be complicated and may be influenced by many factors. The good news is you are not alone!  In therapy we will discuss those factors and get a better understanding of your depression and learn to cope and manage symptoms of it. We will also learn to challenge and reframe your depressive thoughts and help you replace those unhelpful thoughts and behaviors with healthy alternatives.  Through counseling and treatment, we can help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.  

 

Signs of depression

  • Lack of motivation
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Irritability
  • Socially isolating
  • Increase/decrease of appetite
  • Hopelessness
  • Insomnia
  • Loss of interest or pleasure in  activities 
  • Hypersomnia
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Persistent feelings of guilt
  • Inability to concentrate
